Union Quay Dental are proud to introduce our new plan for Dental retention after orthodontic treatment.

How long did you wear your braces for? 9 months, 2 years?

Whatever the treatment time, we bet you want to keep those teeth perfect right?

Here at Union Quay Dental, we understand the time, money and sometimes pain that goes into having your teeth straightened. We understand that sometimes retainers get lost or broken and can be expensive to replace. That is why we have created our ‘smile for life’ plan, our new retention guaranteed plan for 2020.

During your new patient exam, your dentist will check the full health of your teeth and gums, take an x-ray, trios scan, clinical photos and provide you with a treatment plan if any treatment is needed. This appointment is £126.00 and we will reduce this to £81.00 if you join the smile for life plan.

After this appointment has been completed you are now able to join the practice! Welcome!

So far so good, what is a trios scan though and why do you need photos?

We love technology that can make things easier for ourselves and our patients. A trios scan is a state of the art piece of kit that enables us to take an accurate scan of your teeth. This will then be sent to be printed from a 3D scanner and you will be given a model of your teeth. This will be used to check your teeth are not moving and to make any retainers on if needed. For this reason, it is important that you bring your model with you to each appointment.

Clinical photos are taken so we can see your teeth from another perspective and it is another way to make sure your teeth are not moving.

What happens during my hygiene appointment?

Our hygienists just love cleaning your teeth and helping you maintain the best oral hygiene possible. During your appointment, not only will they clean your teeth to a high standard, they will explain the best way to maintain your oral health. The best part… We have massage dental chairs to help you relax and enjoy your appointment.
